i love outside reading
So I’m trying to follow more reading/writing/book blogs and although I’ve started following a fair amount recently I wanted to find even more amazing people and blogs. So, can people please spread the word!
So I’m reading fiction and non-fiction that I get paid to read at a pace of approximately four per month. Simultaneously I have my pleasure reading, typically mysteries, YA or fantasy, that averages a book every four days. Finally we have my non-fiction reading, still for pleasure, that averages around ten books a year. You can toss in the occasional graphic novel which usually takes a couple of hours to read. And that, all of that, is why and how I always read multiple titles at once.
The feeling of being better at reading than most of my classmates followed me throughout middle school. It didn’t help that we were all required to read a certain number of books per semester. The total number was tallied and recorded on our report cards. A certain number of books got you a coupon for free pizza, but, even though pizza is my life, I wasn’t doing it for the free pizza—I wanted to crush everyone. I read all of the Goosebumps and The Baby-Sitters Club books we had in the classroom, as well as most of the American Girl books from my local library. The satisfaction I got from knowing I had read more books than everyone else was the same feeling I imagined other kids had when they won a soccer match or a prize at the science fair. Although no one really cared, when it came to reading, I was the competition to beat.
Of course, I enjoyed the books I read, but I loved the feeling of accomplishment more. I guess you could say it was an ego booster.
She loves to read books,
They’re all scattered throughout her room. Each one filled with chapters,
Stories that only she knows and understands. She never picks a book up again after reading through it once completely.
She’s got a new book to read now,
She loves it so far from what I’ve heard when I ask. Some of her friends told me that she treats her relationships like books,
I stared at them until I had a reply.I know she’s going to read me,
That doesn’t mean that a book needs to end soon.I just have to write more chapters than she can read,
Become the longest story she’s ever read. Then maybe,
Maybe someday she won’t ever finish reading me.

From that time on, the world was hers for the reading. She would never be lonely again, never miss the lack of intimate friends. Books became her friends and there was one for every mood. There was poetry for quiet companionship. There was adventure when she tired of quiet hours. There would be love stories when she came into adolescence and when she wanted to feel a closeness to someone she could read a biography. On that day when she first knew she could read, she made a vow to read one book a day as long as she lived.

You should annotate in your books if you want to! They’re your books and you can do whatever you want to them. And if you’re annotating for fun and just for yourself then I don’t think there is a proper way to annotate in your books. Just do it however you like. Someone else ask about my annotations like what my annotations means and if you want to check that out then look at it here.
Before I was really against writing in books. The only thing I did was mark pages with sticky tabs. But when I went back I had trouble finding why I mark the page so I end having to read the whole page just to find it. And because of that I just said screw it and highlighted. Then I bought a used book that had amazing annotations in it that made me want to write in my own books so I did. Now I don’t care about keeping my books in perfect edition.
I like to think that if I give up some books or when I leave this earth that some people are going to gain my books and read them. And when they read them they’ll see my thoughts and know how I felt about certain things in the book and see my highlights. There will be a part of me in those books and I just really love that idea.
Thanks for your question lovely~
My flowers matched perfectly with this book & the picture came out so beautiful!!! I just bought the shatter me series, should I read it or Red Queen first?
